The Information and Communications Ministry, as well as the Ministry of the Digital Economy, through the ICT Authority, is implementing the “Kenya National Digital Master Plan 2022-2032.”.

In Phase 1 of the programme, the ICT Authority projects to train about 5 million citizens using a consortium of ICT training organisations drawn from both the public and private sectors, NGOs, and various accredited training institutions.
The training will be self-sponsored at a fee of Ksh. 2,500 (two thousand five hundred shillings only) per person for basic digital skills.
A certificate will be provided upon course completion and satisfactory evaluation by the government.
All teachers, secretariat staff, and Grade 8 pupils are encouraged to join the programme using the link: https://www.smartacademy.go.ke.
